The formula for finding the area of a circle with pi is: A = π r²
A = Area
r = radius
How to find the area of a circle:
1. Find the radius - The radius is the length from the centre of a circle to the edge of the circle. You can measure this in any direction and the radius will be the same. The radius is also one half of the diameter of a circle.
2. Square the radius - If the radius is 3cm square it to get 9cm
3. Multiply by pi - Take your squared radius and multiply it by pi. For example if the radius was 3cm we would square that to make 9cm and multiply 9 by pi.
Hope this helps :D
