Definition: A tyrant was defined by the philosophers Plato and Aristotle as a person who rules without law, using extreme and cruel methods against both his own people and others. A variety of types of government can be accused of tyranny to government by one individual in an autocracy.

Think again about Aristotle’s definition of tyranny. How might this definition have inspired Western democratic ideas about government?

Respuesta :

I am not sure if this is correct, but I really think it is: I believe that Aristotle thought that punishement like in our time jail, and in theirs, torture, that democratic ideas came from this punishment. They were in a different time, and also this may have inspired our laws today! Anyway, if this is wrong, please take it down because I would not like for someone else to make an error if this answer is incorrect. Thank you! Have a great day :)

Again for a reminder, please take this answer down or rate it as incorrect if this is wrong. Good luck :)
