First of all, we need to determine how many people are sharing the snacks. Ravi and his 3 friends would be four people.

Important:

Next, we have to share the snacks equally, that means that each person gets the same exact amount of snacks.

Now, since you are seperating them equally amongst the four friends, we have to divide but you cannot go above the number 26, or 35.

4x7 gives you 28, although 26 is not divisble by 26, its ok to have extra so each child will have 4x6 (24) 6 crackers.

4x8 gives you 32 and you wouldn"t choose 4x6, or 7 because you will either have too many or too little.

So, each child will get 6 pretzels and 8 crackers. It is okay if there are extra snacks.
