In a region where 48% of the population is male, there are 11 boys and 14 girls in a sample of children. What is p and ^p for males, and p and ^p for females? P males= _____ ^p males=______ and p females=______ ^p females=______ can show me how this works to it's confusing me. Thank you

Respuesta :

p male(sample proportion) = 11/(11 + 14) = 11/25 = 0.44
^p male(population proportion) = 48% = 0.48

p female(sample proportion) = 14/(11 + 14) = 0.56
^p female (population proportion) = 100 - 48 = 52% = 0.52
