I can't think of a lot of ways, but when paving it involves a lot of chemicals. A filed usually involves grass or sand. Something leading to the ground. Chemicals are able to soak into the ground water comes from the ground. Water also travels through the grounds into local rives, oceans, lakes etc so the chemicals being used can spread through out those environments, hurting animals, and maybe even people when swimming or drinking it.
Answer:
Runoff into storm drains increases
Explanation:
I got this correct on the quiz. Also a field (of grass and soil) can soak up the water into the ground, Concrete (which is used to pave the field) can not soak up the water from precipitation as well as the grass and soil can. So the precipitation runs over the concrete into the storm drains instead of into the gorund.
