You would round 678 to 700.
If you are rounding the number to its nearest hundred, you usually look at the digit on the right side of the hundred digit. If that digit is 5 or higher, you round the hundred digit up 1; if that digit is 4 or lower, the hundreds digit doesn't change.

To round 678 to the nearest hundred you have to see in the tens place if it's higher than the number 5 if it's less than it, it stays as 600 but if it's higher than the number 5 in the tens place it's 700. Answer=700
