Susy started with 100 pieces of gum. Each class that she went to, she handed out 5 pieces of gum to friends. Susy wants to know how many classes will it take to have 20 pieces of gum left. Write an equation which could be used to solve this problem.
If there is 20 pieces of gum left, than 80 lives were given away, you would need to count by 5’s to see how many classes she was in to get to 80. The answer is 16 classes.
