Answer: I support the Ketogenic Diet.

Explanation:

I support the Ketogenic Diet or also known as the "keto diet" because of the benefits it has to your health which I have seen first hand towards myself. Personally I have been apart of the Keto diet because I am obese and researched about a bunch of different diets too which I found out about the Keto diet that has been wildly talked about amongst over weight people. The benefits it has to your health I have found to be repeatedly positive from many different people, and like before, have seen myself.

1 of the benefits to the diet is how it supports weight loss, the Keto diet may help assist weight loss in several ways, including boosting metabolism and reducing appetite. The 2nd benefit I have seen it present is the improvement of your acne which has several different causes and may have links to diet and blood sugar in some people. The 3rd benefit of the diet is the positive advantages it has to your hearts health, when a person follows the Ketogenic diet it is important that they choose healthy foods.  Some evidence shows that eating healthful fats, such as avocados instead of less healthful fats such as pork rinds, can help improve heart health by reducing cholesterol. The history behind the Keto diet is very in-tuned with it's aid to the humans body.

The Ketogenic Therapy, known as the classic "Ketogenic Diet", or classic "Keto" for short was designed in 1923 by Dr. Russell Wilder at the Mayo Clinic for the treatment of epilepsy. The diet became popular as a therapeutic factor towards epilepsy in the 1920s and 30s. It was developed to provide an alternative to non-mainstream fasting, which had demonstrated success as an epilepsy therapy. In general the diets for infants, and children are the easiest to control so for this reason they started on the more restrictive Classic Keto diet. Older children, and adults who prefer less rigid structure may fair better with the Modified Atkins therapies. Transitioning from less restrictive to more restrictive and vice-versa is another approach that can be used to achieve goals that varies from each person.

A website that focuses on the health of women shared an article too which they shared reviews about many different women who tried the Keto diet. One women named Grace said "It allowed me an opportunity to analyze what's going on in my life, what's triggering me, what's different, what's the same, and what's new to my life that mat impact the way I do or don't take care of my body. It gives me a chance to present myself with a way to challenge my mindset and body to get back on track. Most of us are continually recovering unhealthy eating and thinking habits. This is a lifelong process, and it is okay to have some bumps and bruises along the way."  Grace weighed 245 pounds, and when on the Keto diet she dropped 40 pounds as a result. As Grace pointed out she had her own journey when on the Keto diet that didn't present all positives with no negatives. No, her story consisted of the ups/downs we all will face with ANY-thing in life and I admire the rawness of her experience that really shows the side of things that people might think are not that big, when they surely are.   Another women weighed 402 pounds and went down too 250 on the diet. She stated "I'm trying my best to cut down on carbs. To be honest, I really haven't been strict since hitting my first ketoversary in May. I was like "I lost 150lbs" and went straight into maintenance. Part of me worries about loose skin and part of me uses that as an excuse to be lax. I will tell myself I don't want to rush so my body can catch up. and hopefully reduce loose skin annnnnd that is okay but I think I want to pick back up again. I will say I cannot BELIEVE i eat the way I do without gaining weight. That is completely new too me. I don't think I've never eaten with such abandon. Ever. And i haven't gained weight!"   As you can see the Keto diet affects people in different way, but all together the similarities between each persons journey on Keto is that they have came to a realization about themselves as a whole. I find those experiences from both ladies inspiring because it really shows how much a simple change or focus to something like your diet/health can have such an affect on you as a person.

I appreciate the Keto diet, along with everything that it has to offer. Russle Wilder knew what he was doing when he supported the Ketogenic Diet. Even though it was for epilepsy, studies have shown how much MORE the Keto diet assists types of health conditions or even disorders. It's not a miracle worker that will solve ALL of your problems but it definitely can be of help towards certain goals for certain types of people. It might even surprise yourself what it has to offer not only to you, but to your health which can be positive in many different ways and that is why I stand by the Keto diet.
