1- Yes the restoration was effective because the north beach seeds were replant and in 5 years there was almost 100% regrowth of mangroves. After five years, the average height of each mangrove species was also measured.

2- Yes the counting the number of species in the area was important because it helped figure out how much the storm damaged each beach and it showed how the animals were affected. The effect a mangrove habitat has on biodiversity is by giving animals a home, a place to sleep and shelter.
