(I) pancreas - it secretes insulin
it's function is to regulate the sugar levels in blood
if it does not function properly it causes diabetes (sugar)
(ii)pituitary- it secrets growth hormone
it's function is to regulate the growth in human body
if it produces lots of hormone then the body will increase a lot in size known as gigantism
if it produces very less hormone then the body will not increase in size and will be very short known as dwarfism
(III)thyroid gland-it secretes thyroxin
its function is to maintain metabolism growth
lack of iodine makes this gland swell up known as goitre.
(iv)Adrenal gland - it secrets adrenaline
it's function is to help us prepare and respond to stressful situations
because of its malfunction the body does not get enough hormones.
