According to the story of Hamlet, we are told the story of Hamlet and his ambitions to become King. However, his father, the King was thought to have died from a snake bite while he slept.

This was later disproved when a ghost appeared to Hamlet and tells him that his father did not die by a bite of a serpent but that he was killed by his uncle who poisoned the old King while he slept.

On hearing this news, Hamlet is shocked because he does not believe that his uncle was capable of killing his own brother.

Therefore, the event that happened after this was shock from Hamlet.
