Please, help me :)
A train leaves Chicago traveling west at 60 miles per hour. An hour later, at 12 noon, another train leaves Chicago and travels east at 80 miles per hour.

Please help me A train leaves Chicago traveling west at 60 miles per hour An hour later at 12 noon another train leaves Chicago and travels east at 80 miles per class=

Respuesta :

60+60 - hour heads up
80x-each hour travels 80miles
And both have a variable (x) that represent the number of hours
Equation:
60+60x=80x
Combine terms:
60=20x
Divide both sides by 20:
X=3
Soooo that means at 3:00pm two trains will be at the same distance from Chicago which is 240 miles
Hope this helps
