Every Cell originates from a previous cell known as parent cell through the process of cell division. during cell division the DNA of a parent cell is replicated/duplicated. the duplicated DNA copies are separated into two nuclei inside the parent cell.
The two nuclei carrying the DNA are separated into two new cells ( daughter cells ) by the splitting of the parent cell.
Hence we can conclude that cells cannot spontaneously appear without genetic material from previous cells.
