The world lost one of the significant musical artists of the 20th century 40 years ago this month in John Lennon. Pick a Lennon song (other than "Imagine") that you believe best defines Lennon's impact on world culture and international relations. In this season of giving, of universal love, of humanity---whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah. Kwanzaa, or nothing at all---it is only appropriate to contemplate our place on earth. Lennon's words did that. His anthem was to

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

Your assignment is to find a piece (not Imagine) that does it for you and tell me why.

Answer:

Give peace a chance.

Explanation:

Although this is a Plastic ono and John Lennon song I believe this song ecapsulates John and what John stood for perfectly. In this song John sings about giving peace a chance and to disregard all of the hate that was in the world, and still is. He directly mentions many things people dislike, hate, or look down upon. For example, he mentions bagism, which was partially invited by him, the term stands for satire of prejudice this was to give a term to not judge others by appearence.
