I would choose any endangered animal, such as a panda, the western lowland gorilla, or the Asian elephant. Endangered or rare plants work too.
And then just find information on why the animal you chose went endangered, and what kind of habitat it lived.
Then you can write that you chose the animal because it’s endangered, and has a simple habitat (if it has a simple habitat).
