A: Following the English Civil War, the Kingdom of England was actually split, with Northern England becoming a separate country by the King, and southern England, around London, becoming a republic of England, controlled by parliament

B: After a series of Kings and a dictator, Parliament was able to successfully place limitations on the English Crown by having William and Mary agree to the English Bill of Rights, which severely limited the Monarchy’s power, and placed more power in the hands of the people and Parliament.

C: After the Civil War was over, a Puritan Dictator would take over for more than forty years and following his death, the people of the England would form a Republic, making the monarchy become a thing of the past.
