President Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) was the 28th US president from 1913 to 1921 and remained the president during the whole WWI. Even advocating for peace during the first years of war, US was led to the war and helped the victory for the Allies.

He helped sign the Treaty of Versailles after the end of the war, and the creation of the League of the Nations. This league intended to negotiate international disputes and prevent future wars. And was the League of the Nations, President Woodrow Wilson accused his critics of "creating a false impression" about, in speaking in Colorado in September 1919. He affirmed that were organized propaganda against the treaty of peace and against the League. His opponents criticized the idea saying it would revive German militarism and threaten American morale and would allow an international organization to appropriate the Senate’s constitutional authority to declare war. In the end, they blocked the ratification of the league.
