so I don't know if I'm correct but it said Frankenstein so anyways what Mary is saying in that pharse is for example remember when the doctor made Frankenstein well people thought he was monster which is obviously true but mary had seen something different from him she's basically you can't change the way he looks or how he was made what matters is if he has a heart like if he's nice or kind to not kill you
well that's all I could of but I hope this kinda made some sense it's hard to explain the plot of what's happening
