As the sun arose behind my house, I went to the back to pull out the lawn mowing machine. I tried to reach for the fertilizer for the grass to use later but it was behind a big piece of wood I could not reach. I shrugged and continued with my original plans to mow the lawn. I plugged in my headphones to my phone as the song "Foreigner's God" came on. "Scream in the name of the Foreigner's God, Scream in the name of th- what is this?" I said as I stopped singing. I looked down and there was a snake right underneath the window of the kitchen. I knocked on the window to call my mother out as the snake left. "What is it with your hysterical knocks on the kitchen window? I thought you would break it!" I didn't bother replying but I started talking about the snake. "Mom! Right there, underneath the window, like right there," I said as I pointed next to the bottle under the window, "Right there! There was a black snake! It was huge! It ran off when I called you but mom it was long and black and I'm scared! I don't want to see it again!" I said as I ran towards the steps underneath the porch to leave to my room.
