Communication is a crucial part of life in general, not just for humans. Communication is seeking connection. It is seeking explanation. It is a very broad term. Communication can be friendly, mean, positive, negative, it can be anything. Shaking someone's hand and nodding to them is communication. Not eating certain foods is communication. The human body communicates to its sectors. Young children need to learn to communicate. They usually will steal someone's toys with no second thought. They don't communicate things like "I want the toy cars," or "May I have some of that sandwich?" As a student, communication to teachers is crucial. Things like "I need help on this" communicate to the teacher that maybe they need to touch on that a bit more. As a citizen, you want to communicate to your boss that you are a good businessperson. That's why you use friendly gestures like a nonverbal handshake, or in these times, an affirming nod. Miscommunication is a huge issue. You see it in a lot of old sitcoms like I Love Lucy and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. They will think "oh, he's saying this to me!" When really, they say something else. That's why it makes for a funny plot. All in all, communication is a crucial part in life.
