I do not think the U.S. government should create laws that limit the number of firearms a person can buy. However, a background check should be required every time someone wants to buy a gun. People have the right to protect themselves, and guns will assist you in that. It is not the government's place to limit you to what you can purchase in order to protect or self and/or your family. But, if someone has been arrested in the recent past for shooting out a grocery store, I do not think they should be allowed to purchase a gun. Those people could be offered a more safe type of protection, if the time ever comes they need to protect themselves.
