The sounds that are produced by these vehicles in the movie are examples of invisible sounds.

A sound can be defined as a disturbance (vibration) in a transmission medium that progressively transports energy from a source location to another location without the transportation of matter. Also, a sound is generally heard when it reaches a living organism's ear such as a human being.

In Arts, there are two (2) main types of sound and these include:

  • Visible (diegetic) sound.
  • Invisible (non-diegetic) sound.

An invisible sound is also referred to as a non-diegetic  or acousmatic sound and it can be defined as a type of sound whose source is not revealed or visible on the screen to the viewers (audience) of a movie such as vehicles honking in a particular frame of a movie scene.

In conclusion, the sounds that are produced by these vehicles in the movie are examples of invisible sounds.
