If it's something, more than $30 then yeah you might want to bring it to their attention but completely optional. Some stores actually let both the customer and the cashier off the hook and say it was paid for and put it on what to order for the next truck to bring when the store has to restock. Trust me it's confusing but once you get used to it, the process becomes a lot clearer.
