Camilla and Kevin were debating how waves travel through matter. Kevin said that all waves must travel through
some kind of matter. This is why there is no sound in space. Because there is no matter in space (that is called a vacuum). Camilla disagreed with Kevin and argued that while some waves need matter to travel, not all of them do.
Decide who you agree with and explain your reasoning.

Answer:

Both

Explanation:

Both are technically correct. Kevin is correct in the sense that there is no sound in space, however he is incorrect because there are some waves (Electromagnetic waves) that do not need a medium (matter) to travel through.    Camilla is correct in the sense that there are some waves that need a medium to travel through (Mechanical Waves) but not all do (Electromagnetic Waves). If the question is about if sound needs a medium to travel through, Kevin is correct. If the question is about if some waves do not need a medium to travel through, Camilla is correct.
