There was once a crow who did not like his feathers. "I wish I were a peacօck!" he would say. "You are beautiful as you are!" the other crows insisted. "How plain and dull you seem to me!" he'd complain, and fly off to admire peacօcks.

The peacօcks walked around with their colourful tail feathers outstretched. To the delight of the crow, some of the peacօck feathers lay on the ground when the peacօcks left. Crow flew down to the ground and stuck the feathers into his wings and tail. He attached a few sticking up from his head. "Now I am as beautiful as a peacօck," he said. But, when he went to join them in their walking, the peacօcks punched him and hit him. What a fuss! "You are not a peacօck," they said, "Don't imitate us!" Bruised and still dragging some broken peacօck feathers in his tail, he returned home.

After all his insults, no one wanted his company! As he sat alone, the other crows said, "It's foolish to try and be what you're not. Learn to love the feathers you've got.

Explanation:

The story is about a bird who wants to look just like a peacock because the crow does not like their wings. The characters in this story are rude they are rude to the crow just because they want to look like them. They are probably in a tree because that is where birds live and it is probably daytime because it would be impossible to see them in the dark. In the beginning, the crow was unhappy about how bland his wings and feathers were. The problem they faced was the fact that they wanted to look like the peacocks but they were rude to him and didn't let him join them. the story ended with the other crows cheering him up and making him feel better about his wings and feathers. We can learn to accept ourselves for who we are from this story.
