Warren G. Harding was the 29th President of the US, since 1921 and lasted until his death in 1923. During his presidency he was one of the most popular presidents but the many scandalts that started to be unveiled subsequently (mostly after his death), eroded such popularity.
The Teapot Dome is probably one of the main scandals, but there were some others such as Veterans' Bureau Scandal, the Justice Department Scandal or also one related to the president's private life after one of his mistresses revealed a secret affair. The Teapot Dome was a bribery scandal through which, Albert Bacon, the Secreaty of the Interior, leased oil reserves in Teapot Dome (Wyoming) to two companies without competitive bidding and at very low rates, in exchange for a bribe.
