The chemeleon is reptile which survive on both ground and tree habitat. They change in color of skin to communicate with other chemeleons and for camouflage. It changes it color for it's survival. The change in color facilitate the predator-prey interactions. Chameleon can change their color with respect to the substrate in which they are living like on tree bark they will have brown color to hide themselves, from predatory animals like cats or they may remain hidden for insects species which cannot observe them on tree bark hence, will be helpful in trapping their prey. In grass they will acquire green color to mimic the color of grass and not being caught by birds and can feed on insects there. Therefore, skin color is a trait which is expressed with the influence of the environment.
