We are dealing with European culture and colonies of which it is noted that the European culture was one that was largely influenced by the enlightenment effect on ideas that occurred in the early part of the 18th Century.
- Now, this era of enlightenment of ideas was a very strong one that enabled the kings of their colonies to be able to question their own powers and supremacy.
