Let the total length of bamboo be x

According to the question,

[tex]\sf{\dfrac{ 1}{3}}{\sf{x +}}{\sf{\dfrac{ 1}{5}}}{\sf{x + 14 = x }}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{\dfrac{ 1}{3}}{\sf{x + }}{\sf{\dfrac{1}{5}}}{\sf{x = x - 14 }}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{\dfrac{5x + 3x}{15}}{\sf{ = x - 14 }}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 5x + 3x = 15( x - 14 )}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 8x = 15x - 210 }[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 210 = 15x - 8x}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 7x = 210 }[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ x = }{\sf{\dfrac{ 210}{7}}}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{\red{x = 30\: m}}[/tex]

Hence, The total length of the bamboo is 30m.
