Why do you think the barbarian tribes were able to defeat the Roman Empire? What might have happened to make the Roman Empire weaker and more vulnerable?

Answer: Inflation

Explanation: If I remember correctly the Romans had heavy inflation and it made their money useless, which in turn made the soldiers not want to fight anymore. They also recruited Barbarians which most likely turned against the Romans.
