Once there was a little garter snake, and his name was Erak. This little snake had a burrow, and this burrow was threatened once upon a time. But what would Erak do? Run? The little snake, Erak, decided that he would stay and protect his precious burrow. And so the little snake set off on his perilous journey. To his continuous dismay he found that a great big crow had besieged his burrow. He brainstormed what to do against this mighty animal.

At last! Erak had a brilliant idea! He would gather forces and lay siege upon the great beast. Setting out upon yet another journey he came across a cricket, saying to this cricket, “friend cricket I must implore your arms!” Thus the cricket joined forces. The two encountered a slimy frog, and in chorus: “Friend frog! We implore your arms!” Thus the frog joined comradery. Alas! There! A friendly mouse! The three strode over to the mouse, and in unison: “Friend mouse! We must implore your arms!” In a formidable force, the four marched to Erak’s burrow ready to take up arms.
The crow, upon sight of the force, fluffed his wings threateningly, screeching his challenge. The four attacked at then sudden, the friend cricket fluttered about the beast's eyes, blinding him. The friend frog hopped around its legs, tripping it. The friend mouse gnawed upon the delicate tail feathers. And Erak did the most dangerous task, he struck the fragile wing bones very close to the ever sharp beak.
The crow was overwhelmed and flapped his great wings, and lifted off out of the reach of the force. The four in grateful comradeship cheered their gratefulness to the blessed sky. In this dramatic turn of events, the four animals became best friends forever after.
