Explanation: We multiply the length, width, and height to get the volume of the block. The units for the volume are in cubic millimeters which can be written as "cubic mm" or [tex]\text{mm}^3[/tex] to mean that we're cubing all of "mm", and not just a single m.
I guess you could say [tex](\text{mm})^3[/tex] to be very clear that both "m"s are being cubed, though this convention isn't something I've seen a lot.
