Please help rephrase this

The death of his wife leads Macbeth to reflect on the shortness and pointlessness of life. He realizes where his ambition led him : a life that he doesn't enjoy, without any friends. In this soliloquy, Macbeth reflects on how all thes efforts only leads him closer to death.

Macbeth reflects on the brevity and futility of life after the loss of his wife. He sees where his desire has lead him: to a life he doesn't love and where he has no friends. Macbeth thinks in this soliloquy on how his efforts only bring him closer to death.
