Here is a list of the scores in Class A:
65, 70, 70, 80, 80, 85, 85, 85, 90, 90, 100

Here is a box plot that shows the scores in Class B:

The statistics of students in class B:

Maximum score = 100

Minimum score = 55

Median = 75

First quartile = 70

Third quartile = 80

Which class had greater variability in the results?

The range would be used to determine which class has greater variability.

Range = highest score  - lowest score

Class a = 100 - 65 = 35

Class B = 100 - 55 = 45
