Answer: The United States should never have engaged in proxy wars during the Cold War as there this was to cause conflicts between the US and other countries. The US needed to have local intelligence but not proxy as there was a need to know the terrain better and failure to do so caused unwanted risks which led to local fights and many people lost life. This is in the case of the Korean war or the Vietnam war. Saudi Arabia vs Iran caused the Syrian war recently in Yemen

The United States should have engaged in proxy wars during the Cold War. This was of great importance as it could have shown an improved fighting power for the US and got much of the sphere. The US also may get financial support and concerns.
