92 = 2( ( 3x + 2 ) + x )

Solve the equation for x.

92 = 2( ( 3x + 2 ) + x )

92 = 6x + 4 + 2x

92 = 8x + 4

8x = 92 - 4

8x = 88

x = 88/8

x = 11

Hence;

Width of the rectangular planter bed = x = 11ft

Length of the rectangular planter bed = 3x+2 = 3(11) + 2 = 33 + 2 = 35ft
