The reaction of the United States of America against communism came in several fronts. One was by closing borders against this political thought. The idea was to prevent the propagation of communist ideas around the world, responding to Soviet Union movements in Korea and Vietnam, for example. In practice, it sought to promote the formation of free and democratic nations around Communist countries, propagating American ideals to contain Communists.
