There are three boxes in the table. One stands for the hundreds place, the next one stands for the tens place, and the last one stands for the ones place. (the last box would be used for decimals.) The 9 would go in the hundreds place, the 3 would go in the tens, and the last 9 in the ones. 

After the table is done, you look t the hundreds place first (the 9) and divide that by 5. (So on and so forth, you carry on with all place values.)

The answer should come out to be 187.8.

You should show 9 hundreds boxes (the largest one and represents 100) 3 tens columns (medium sized and represents 10) and 9 ones boxes (smallest oneself represents ones) and then do a different symbol of your choice in each one counting by 5s then count how many different kinds of symbols you have and that's the answer.
