The first row in a theater has 8 seats, the second row has 12 seats, and the third row has 16 seats. If this pattern continues, how many seats will the sixth row have?
a.
20 seats
c.
28 seats
b.
24 seats
d.
32 seats

Respuesta :

the answer is c 28 because it is going by plus 4
So the pattern is "add four every row":

[tex]8 + 4 = 12[/tex] ~ The second row
[tex]12 + 4 = 16[/tex] ~ The third row
[tex]16 + 4 = ...[/tex] ~ The fourth row

So with the pattern, we just add four a couple more times.

[tex]16 + 4 = 20[/tex] ~ The fourth row
[tex]20 + 4 = 24[/tex] ~ The fifth row
[tex]24 + 4 = 28[/tex] ~ The sixth row
