When reading a newspaper, you should always be wary or cautious of possible bias in an article. Good reporting is usually founded on ethical and normative guidelines that establish that the information provided is objective, that it has been corroborated and fact-checked, and that the author can be held responsible for his reporting. Unfortunately, not always are these norms followed (editorials, columns and political cartoons, for example, are based on opinion, and thus they are of a different nature to be disregarded for these matters), due to, most commonly, economic or political reasons.
