They weren't as complex as the southern indians
They were still diverse
The nothern part relied on fishing, gathering, and hunting for food. 
A portion of them were eskimos who hunted for seals
The southern part relied on farming
irrigation systems, whereas the eastern portion was mainly forests, same ways of getting food as the north but they also farmed.


Native American culture was developing rapidly 
they were figuring out new ways to get food
clothing and shelter was being developed
populations were growing
started to establish unique rituals and customs
role of the man and woman were established within a family.
