Okay! To do this, all you have to do is multiply the denominator and numerator by the same number.
Let's take number 1 for example:
[tex] \frac{4}{10} [/tex]
Choose a number that you want to multiply them by. I'm going to use the number 3.
4 x 3= 12
10 x 3 =30
So your equivalent fraction would be:
[tex] \frac{12}{30} [/tex]
Note: Make sure you multiply the top and bottom by the same number. :)
