Companies go through stages of development. The most generally used frame for a platoon's stages of development was developed in themid-1960s by BruceW. Tuckman. Although numerous authors have written variations and advancements to Tuckman's work, his descriptions of Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing give a useful frame for looking at your own platoon.
Each stage of platoon development has its own recognizable passions and actions; understanding why effects are passing in certain ways on your platoon can be an important part of the tone- evaluation process.
