In effort to create lasting peace in Europe President Wilson proposed the League of Nations. This meant unifying countries in Europe.

Answer: The League of Nations

The League of Nations was an intergovernmental organization that arose as a result of the First World War. Its main goals were to prevent war, ensure the security of members and encourage international collaboration. It was created on January 10, 1920.

The proposal arose from the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. American President Woodrow Wilson, along with Lord Robert Cecil and Jan Smuts, put forward proposals for a covenant among nations. Wilson's views were based on his Fourteen Points of 1918. After negotiation, the delegates approved the proposal to create the League of Nations on January 25, 1919.
