MAD stands for Mean absolute deviation. How to calculate it?
1) arrange the data from smaller to greater (although it is not important here)
2) find the mean =(3+6+7+11+13)/5 = 8
3) subtract the mean from each data point & keep their absolute value (Positive)
I3-8I = 5
I6-8I = 2
I7-8I = 1
I11-8I = 3
I13-8I = 5
Find now the new mean of the latter (5+2+1+3+5)/5 = 16/5 = 3.2 (MAD)
which indicates the deviation from the original mean
