terrestrial planets are small where as jovian planets are quite small. 

The difference between terrestrial planets and Jovian planets is that Terrestrial Planets has few moons and no rings whereas Jovian Planets has many moons and rings.

What is the meaning of Planet?

Planet refers to the larger celestial bodies that rotates around the Sun in the Solar System. The Planets of the solar system are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. There are total eight planets in the Solar System.

The Most Noticeable difference between the  terrestrial planets and Jovian planets is that Jovian planets has rings and many moons whereas Terrestrial planets has few moons i.e. Earth has one moon and Mars has 2 moons.

Apart from these differences, The terrestrial planets are rock or solid planets whereas Jovian planets are gaseous planet. Therefore, the main difference is regarding moons and rings.
