All the American "Way of life" and "culture" is from immigrants. Prior to immigrants, there where the 1st Nation or Native American people--So basically, immigrants have marginalized and committed genocide to get the original inhabitants out of the way and in the last 200-350 years have created a lifestyle and culture(sort of) and each successive wave of immigrants makes a contribution to that.
