The New York Times called the 1964 World Fair as such because it was a very big event that catered and showcased the American culture and technology. It was an event where 80 nations, 24 US states, and over 45 corporations have come to participate to sell their products for consumerism. The fair was mostly focused on the new age technologies that are free for consumption of the general attendees of the event. Over 50 million attended, but the fair expected a population of 70 million, nonetheless, it was still a successful event that showed the great luxury that the American culture can offer to the world.
