Actually, no it is not. If an absolute statement has a single thing that defies it, that statement is considered to be false. Writing is not always an outlet for the human desire to make things sound better than they actually are. Some literature are aimed at describing a certain situation or expressing what they feel at that moment. It is not always to make things sound better than what they are at the present.
