Most companies are very interested in hiring illegal immigrant because they could pay them with a wage that is lower than the minimum required amount.
The minimum wage only protected citizen of United States. Since the illegal immigrants are not a citizen, so they have no law to protect them.
This will lead to an increase of unemployment for the legal citizen in the country, because they could afford to compete with the illegal immigrants in term of wages.
